Research on the recent and contemporary architecture of the Eastern Mediterranean region and its interconnections with larger historical and cultural issues in the region.

Research tasks:

a. Archival and field, and library research in the field of modern and contemporary architecture in the Mediterranean, with a particular emphasis on issues of environment and sustainability as they relate to architecture and culture.

b. Development of innovative databases for interdisciplinary research on modern architecture

c. Pedagogy and dissemination, with the aim to i) develop teaching tools for architectural history ii) to develop a web interface for our database iii) Outreach Activities.
